Description

Emulsifier, foaming agent and conditioner. This ingredient has the ability to increase the foaming capacity of a surfactant and/or stabilize the foam of a surfactant. Since DEA cocamide is both water-soluble and oil-soluble, it allows for the even distribution of water and oil in the solution. It also traps dirt on an oil base so it can be washed away. While traditional surfactants (i.e. soap) have a drying effect, this ingredient effectively cleanses the hair and conditions them with natural fatty acids obtained from coconut oil. It also has the ability to enhance the action of other ingredients, namely cleansers and conditioners.
