Description

Aloe Barbadensis leaf juice, or aloe vera extract, is obtained from the leaves of the aloe plant. Scientists have discovered more than 200 nutrients in the Aloe Barbadensis leaf, including 20 minerals, 20 amino acids, 12 vitamins, and active enzymes. Aloe Barbadensis leaf juice can soothe the skin and serve as an anti-inflammatory agent. It can be used effectively topically, thanks to its effects on healing burns, reducing scars, and healing wounds. Aloe protects the skin from ultraviolet rays. It contains aloin, which can block up to 30 percent of ultraviolet rays when applied to the skin's surface. The skin can absorb key aloe ingredients up to 7 layers deep. Due to this ability, aloe effectively stimulates the action of proteolytic enzymes in skin tissues, stimulating fibroblast cells that produce collagen. Additionally, because of the aforementioned enzymatic breakdown of dead skin cells from aloe, it is an excellent cleansing and detoxifying agent, capable of removing dead skin cells and toxins while cleaning pores. It moisturizes the skin and also has antimicrobial properties against many common bacteria and fungi.
