Description
Beeswax is a natural ingredient obtained from the wax cells of honeybees. It is used in cosmetics for its excellent protective, moisturizing, and texturizing properties. Beeswax creates a thin protective film on the surface of the skin or lips, reducing moisture loss without clogging pores. It is often added to lip balms, creams, ointments, makeup (such as lipsticks and mascaras), and hair care products. Additionally, it helps to thicken the texture and improve the consistency of products, making them more stable. Beeswax also has mild anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, making it ideal for sensitive or irritated skin care.
