Benzotriazolyl Dodecyl p-Cresol is a powerful antioxidant and stabilizer that protects cosmetic formulas from degradation caused by light (photostabilization), oxygen, and heat. It is often added to products with UV filters, vitamin C, fatty acids, or oils to extend the shelf life of the product and preserve the effectiveness of active ingredients. It also protects packaging and contents from yellowing or oxidation, especially in sunscreens and anti-aging cosmetics.
