Bromelain

Description

Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme extracted from pineapple (Ananas comosus). In cosmetic formulas, it acts as a gentle natural exfoliant, breaking down dead skin cells and facilitating their shedding. Thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, it also soothes irritation, reduces swelling, and improves the penetration of other active ingredients. It is often used in masks, peels, facial serums, acne and post-acne treatments, as well as in products for sensitive or dull skin.
