Description

Crosspolymer of acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate is a synthetic ingredient used as a thickener, texture enhancer, film-forming agent, and emulsifier in cosmetics and personal care products. Crosspolymer of acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate functions as a thickener by relying on its ability to increase the viscosity of a composition. In its dry form, the polymer molecules are coiled up, providing a relatively low suspension and viscosity. However, upon addition to an aqueous system, the molecules become ionized and expand due to charge repulsion, providing suspending and thickening properties.
