Description
Calcium Chloride is an inorganic salt of calcium and chlorine, which is mainly used in cosmetics as a viscosity regulator, stabilizer, binding agent, or source of calcium. It helps maintain a stable consistency of the product, reduces ingredient settling, improves texture, and affects moisturization due to its ability to attract and retain moisture (hygroscopic properties). In skincare, Calcium Chloride is also used as a cell metabolism activator, as calcium is involved in many cellular processes, including maintaining the integrity of the skin barrier. It is added to serums, masks, toners, shampoos, conditioners, and antiperspirants.
