Description
Ceramide EOP is one of the main groups of ceramides that play a key role in maintaining skin health. Ceramides are naturally present in the stratum corneum of the epidermis and are responsible for creating and maintaining the skin's protective barrier, which prevents moisture loss and protects against external aggressors. Like other ceramides, Ceramide EOP helps to restore and strengthen the skin's protective barrier, which is especially important for dry, sensitive, or damaged skin. This component integrates into the lipid layers of the epidermis, reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and increasing skin hydration. Cosmetic products containing Ceramide EOP typically include moisturizing creams, lotions, serums, and other skincare products for the face and body. Its use helps to keep the skin soft, smooth, and healthy, as well as reduce signs of aging such as wrinkles and fine lines.
