Description
This cationic surfactant and conditioning agent are mainly used to prevent static electricity and build-up in hair. It cleanses and eliminates odors, preventing the growth of microorganisms and allowing water to mix with dirt and wash away. It can be found in hair dyes, shampoos, conditioners, hair styling gels, mousses, and detanglers. It not only conditions but also acts as a preservative, preventing bacteria growth in dilute solutions, and thus helping products last longer. It is also a surface active substance: partially soluble in water and partially soluble in oil, it allows oil and water to disperse and gives products a good consistency and a soft cleansing foam.
