Cocamid MEA (monoethanolamide of fatty acids of coconut oil) is a surface-active substance (SAS), emulsifier, foam booster, stabilizer, and viscosity regulator. It is a thick, white, waxy substance obtained from coconut oil, which is rich in fatty acids. Monoethanolamide is used in cosmetics when its thickening properties and opaque texture are needed.
