Description
Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate is a gentle, skin-compatible emulsifier derived from a natural amino acid (glutamic acid) and stearic acid. It is added to cosmetics to create stable emulsions (mixtures of water and oils), as well as to improve texture - products become silky, light and pleasant to the touch. The component also has softening properties, improves the skin's ability to retain moisture, does not cause irritation and is suitable even for sensitive or baby skin. It is often used in creams, lotions, serums, and foundations.
