Description
Galactoarabinan is a natural polysaccharide extracted from larch wood. In cosmetics, it is used as a moisturizer, texturizer, film-former, and as an enhancer for exfoliants. It forms a light film on the skin, reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL), improving barrier properties, and giving the skin a smooth, silky effect. It also helps stabilize cosmetic formulas and promotes even application of pigments in decorative cosmetics.
