Description
Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride is a water-soluble organic compound, a quaternary ammonium derivative of guar (aka cluster bean). This means that this substance, the chemical structure of which has four carbon groups, is connected to a positively charged nitrogen atom. Although guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride is an excellent skin conditioner, it is especially useful as a hair conditioner. It neutralizes the negative charges on the hair strands that cause the hair to become static or tousled. It does not weigh down the hair. With this ingredient, you can have silky, non-static hair that retains its volume.
