Description
Hydrochloric acid is a chlorohydric or saline acid. The saline acid exists in the form of a colorless, non-flammable aqueous solution or gas. It is added to shampoo in limited quantities to neutralize the excessive stickiness of the shampoo. A small amount of saline acid completely reacts with the components of the shampoo and does not remain as a free substance. There should not be any residue of saline acid left in the shampoo, as it has a destructive effect on the hair.
