Description
Hydroxyethylacrylate - a gelling agent that thickens, emulsifies and stabilizes products and solutions. It is very easy to use in rare form, it gives a feeling of freshness, followed by a sensation of melting when in contact with the skin. Leaves a feeling of velvety softness. Although monomers can be toxic, it is believed that levels found in cosmetic formulations do not pose a risk to the skin. Therefore, these acrylate copolymers are considered safe for use in cosmetics if formulated in such a way as to avoid irritation.
