Inulin is a soluble plant fiber that is abundant in the root of chicory and approximately 36,000 other plants. It softens liquid cleansers, which gently clean the skin, leaving it soft and moisturized. Hair treated with a product containing inulin becomes smoother, more polished, and healthy-looking. Inulin has the ability to retain fragrance as well as oil-soluble components on the skin and/or hair after using rinse-off products. Therefore, it enhances and prolongs the effect of active and functional ingredients in the formulation.
