Kwas sorbowy (Sorbic Acid)

Description

It is a natural antimicrobial compound. It is used as a mild preservative in cosmetic formulas and skin care formulas, as well as an alternative to parabens to prevent or slow the growth of microorganisms and protect these products from spoilage. It has been found to be effective against fungi, yeasts and molds, but is not a broad spectrum preservative as it is less effective against bacteria.
