Description

Lauric Acid is a saturated fatty acid of natural origin, mainly obtained from coconut or palm oil. In cosmetics, it performs several important functions - it is used as an emulsifier, surfactant, antimicrobial agent and softener. Thanks to its antibacterial properties, Lauric Acid is actively used in cleansing products for acne-prone and oily skin. It can suppress the growth of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria, which cause inflammation. Lauric acid is also used in the production of soaps, shampoos, creams, conditioners and hygiene products - it foams well, cleanses, softens the skin and hair.
