Lauryl Hydroxysultaine is a surfactant used in cosmetic products as a moisturizing and cleansing component. It is produced by ethoxylation of lauryl acid and sulfation of ethoxylated hexamethylene tetramine. In cosmetics, Lauryl Hydroxysultaine is used as a surfactant to increase foam and reduce surface tension. It is also added to provide moisturizing and reduce skin irritation, as well as to enhance the effectiveness of other active ingredients in cosmetic products.
