Description
Nigella sativa is a small flowering shrub with purple or white flowers that grows in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Western Asia. The black seed oil has several uses and benefits for problematic skin conditions. Examples of applications for beauty and skin: • Acne. According to the Journal of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, applying a lotion made with 10 percent black oil significantly reduced acne breakouts after two months. • Moisturizing hair. Black oil can be applied to human hair to soften it and add shine. • Skin softening. Black seed oil is added to oils and moisturizers to improve skin hydration. • Wound healing. The use of black seed oil reduces inflammation and the presence of bacteria that promote wound healing. Although it doesn't seem to help grow new collagen fibers, it does stimulate other growth factors to help the body create new, healthy skin.
