Description

Polysorbate 20, also referred to on the ingredient label as Twen 20, is formed by ethoxylating sorbitol before the addition of lauric acid. Polysorbate 20 acts as a surfactant, emulsifier and fragrance. In skin care products, surfactants help to degrease and emulsify oils and fats and suspend dirt, allowing them to be washed away.
