Description
Retinyl Acetate is a stable form of vitamin A (retinol) that is used in cosmetics as a powerful anti-aging active. After application to the skin, this compound is converted into retinol, and then into retinoic acid, which is responsible for its main action. It stimulates cell renewal, reduces wrinkles, evens out skin tone, improves texture, and fights hyperpigmentation. Retinyl Acetate is usually gentler than pure retinol, making it suitable for sensitive skin or as a starting active. It is often added to serums, creams, anti-aging products, as well as products for problem skin.
