Sodium Benzotriazolyl Butylphenol Sulfonate is a powerful UV filter and stabilizer that protects cosmetic products (and skin) from the harmful effects of solar radiation. Its main role is to absorb UV rays, including UV-A and UV-B, which prevents the destruction of active ingredients (such as vitamins, dyes, and fragrances). It also increases the light resistance (photostability) of SPF products, which is why it is often used in sunscreens, anti-aging cosmetics, hair dyes, and decorative cosmetics.
