Description
Cocoyl sodium isethionate is a sodium salt ester or fatty acid derived from coconut oil. It is used in cosmetics and personal care products as a surfactant and is often found in hair care products such as shampoos due to its ability to mix water with oil and dirt, allowing them to be washed away more easily. Sodium cocoyl isethionate is also considered an ingredient in various soaps and cleansers. As a surfactant, it creates a wet feeling, dissolves oils and reduces surface tension, and can promote foaming. This mildly scented cleanser is gentle enough to use on the delicate skin of babies, making it an ideal makeup surfactant as well as a great personal care and natural beauty product. Its luxurious foaming power and conditioning effects leave hair and skin feeling moisturized, soft, and silky.
