Sodium Stearate

Description

Sodium Stearate is the salt of stearic acid (a saturated fatty acid) that is most commonly used as a thickener, structuring agent, and emulsifier in cosmetic formulas. It stabilizes the consistency of creams, gels, and solid products (such as deodorants, soaps, and pencils), creates a smooth texture, and promotes even application. In cleaning products, it acts as a foaming agent. It also has mild cleansing and emulsifying properties.
