Description
Stearalkonium Hectorite is a modified clay (hectorite) treated with quaternary ammonium salt (stearalkonium), which is used in cosmetics as a thickener, stabilizer, and suspending agent. This component helps to stabilize the formula, evenly distribute pigments, oils or actives in the product, preventing them from separating. It is most commonly added to decorative cosmetics (especially in lipsticks, foundations, BB/CC creams), as well as in sunscreens and tanning oils. Thanks to its ability to maintain consistency, it makes the texture smooth and pleasant.
