Description
Tributyl Citrate is an ester of citric acid and butanol, which is used in cosmetics as a solvent, plasticizer, and fragrance stabilizer. It is most commonly added to decorative cosmetics, nail polish, and antiperspirants, where it improves the texture of the product, provides smooth application, and prevents formula separation. It has a weak scent, enhances fragrance fixation in perfumery, and ensures good compatibility with UV filters, making it also used in sunscreens.
