Description
Trimethoxycaprylylsilane is a silicone derivative compound used in cosmetic products as a binding agent, emulsion stabilizer, and auxiliary covering ingredient. It helps to combine non-combining components, such as oil and water, and also improves the evenness of product application on the skin or hair. Thanks to its chemical structure (silane base with methoxy groups and caprylic chain), this ingredient has hydrophobic properties, providing waterproofing in decorative cosmetics (such as foundations, eyeshadows, and powders). It is also added to mineral cosmetics as a pigment processor, improving their adhesion to the skin, making the coverage more durable and silky. It can reduce irritation caused by inorganic pigments.
