Zinc Ricinoleate is a zinc salt of ricinoleic acid (from castor oil) widely used in deodorants. Its main property is effective neutralization of unpleasant odor without suppressing sweat production or destroying skin microflora. This ingredient "captures" and holds onto odor molecules instead of just masking them. It may also have mild antimicrobial properties.
