Description

Citral is a mixture of terpenoids. In cosmetics, it is added as a weak antiseptic component with a preservative property. Citral is an aromatic compound used in cosmetics, perfumery for its citrus aroma. It also has strong antimicrobial properties. It acts in cosmetic products as a masking agent: it hides an unpleasant smell or taste of the product.
